Well as you have already probably guessed by now the computer was wrong and we have had no alpaca births here as of yet. Blue has also come into her dates and so I am closely watching three females who are getting decidedly rounder but are showing no signs of delivering 🙁

The weather has been stunning here for the last few days and looks set to continue, the alpacas can all be found sprawled out playing dead (alpaca sun bathing) ...

Having had no rain for a few weeks and the ground being frozen solid I decided today would be a crocs with socks day as I am fed up to the back teeth of constantly wearing wellies.

I guessed that as long as the socks were thick enough my feet wouldn’t come to much harm in my crocs. I’ve had Neil telling me I’m mad and to put my wellies back on before I got frostbite in my toes. But I ...

Well it’s the 30th today and are we going to have an alpaca birth? Will the computer be right? So far Dora shows no signs of obliging, but the day is not done yet. Watch this space!

Another hot and sunny day on our alpaca farm, time for another blog post and guess what? Yippee! yes another cria has just arrived, this time a little lad.

What a busy weekend, I’m so shattered I can barely keep my eyes open and it’s only 3.30 pm.

Saturday started nice and early doing all the farm chores and alpaca husbandry. That completed in double quick time Neil and I left the farm in the capable hands of our off spring, Carly, Charlie and Lauren and headed of to Oswestry to attend my cousin Jason’s wedding.

That’s the weekend nearly sorted, jobs all done, Ha! Ha! not really, the job list is still to long for my liking and we definitely won’t ask Neil his feelings about the to do list, the air could get quite blue 🙂

Unfortunately our farm visit today had to be postphoned untill next week, which was a shame, but never mind the weather looks better next week and it’s much nicer spending time out with the alpacas on a nice warm ...

The weather has turned and we have been having glorious sunshine for the last couple of days. According to the forecast there’s no rain or snow due for at least the next ten days which is absolutely fantastic news. I hope I haven’t tempted fate by writing that:0))
