Mad Alpaca Farmer is Dancing!!!!

Woop! Woop! I am one happy alpaca farmer today, I’m so happy I’m dancing ๐Ÿ™‚

Now I guess your wondering what could make me so happy, its the middle of January, we’ve yet another storm raging around us, mud up to our eyeballs, and the wind and rain is just relentless.

Well first of all the alpaca’s are tucked up nice and snug in the barn, and with the cctv camera’s now installed I can easily see that they are all ok, check when hay racks need topping up etc… If the girls are all happy and content then so am I, but their not the reason I’m dancing.

Sorry it has to been in capitals, I need to shout this ๐Ÿ™‚ MY YARN HAS ARRIVED & just in time MY STUDIO IS NOW ALL FINISHED.

Chris & Emma of East Anglia Alpaca Mill have once again done an amazing job with my fibre,

This latest batch was just a standard white batch pulled from my backlog of fibre.ย  I’m ashamed to say that it’s been sitting around in the barn for quiet a while and I was really unsure whether it was still worth while processing it or not.

Alpaca Yarn

Well as you can see Chris has worked his magic and the yarn is just yummy!!!

If this standard batch can look & feel like this, I can’t wait to see what Chris can do with my silky fleeces. At the moment they are still sat in the queue at the mill, but every week that queue gets shorter and my silkies get closer to being processed ๐Ÿ™‚

Now yarn like that can’t live in a cardboard box, it needs a nice storage rack, with fabric boxes to keep it safe and tidy. It’s a good job that’s just what I had waiting for itย  in my new studio ๐Ÿ™‚

radiator drying dyed skien

This is the ceramic radiatorย  which not only keeps me warm and toasty but also has a drying rack to hang my skeins after they’ve been dyed. This obviously is a un-dyed skien as example. Give me a chance I only got it today ๐Ÿ™‚

Moving on to my permanent photo booth, which as you can see has been taken over by some titchy scruffy bears, but more on them another day
