Well can you guess what I have to tell you today? Yep another addition to my rapidly expanding alpaca herd 🙂

Today it was the turn of Perfect Harmony, aka PH, to deliver.

PH another maiden who also didn’t have a clue what was happening to her.

PH has joined the elite run round and round in circles cause there’s a head poking out of my rear end and I don’t know who or what the hell it is club.

I just about managed to beat the rain, all the alpaca latrines are now nice and short making it so much easier to poo-hoover. I also cut the creeping buttercup that had started to appear in some of the alpaca paddocks.

I hate weeds how come they grow so much faster than grass? The weather being windy and wet is no good for spraying the fields with weed killer and so I’m left with either looking at them growing taller and ...

After just logging in to my web site account I find that this will be my 100th alpaca blog post. I can’t believe I’ve written that many already, how time flies when your having fun 🙂

It would be really nice to celebrate this auspicious occasion with a blog full of my latest cria pictures, but unfortunately the pregnant girls haven’t obliged.

So instead I could post pictures of my gorgeous herd enjoying the lush grass and sunshine. Only there’s no sunshine ...

MY happy little alpaca helper, aka my mother is back from her holidays and so we thought we’d have a barbecue today to celebrate her return. So sorry folks that’s set the scene for rain again today 🙂

My mother on her return has promised an imminent birth, as Dora who is in fact my mother’s alpaca, unbeknown to me was under strict instructions not to deliver whilst my mother was away. I’m amazed knowing Dora as I do she’s playing along, ...

Do I have any alpaca births to report? nope! not a sign of a little nose protruding anywhere 🙁

Lots and lots of false alarms, lots of wiggling, kicking alpaca tummies and alien butt face presentations as some alpaca breeders like to call it, but no births 🙁

I know I’m bad, I get far too impatient, but I can’t seem to help myself, it’s just so dam exciting watching as each new cria enters the world.

Where’s spring gone? I’ve just checked the forecast here for today and we have snow shower’s due later, are they having a laugh? Spring is supposed to be nice warm sunshine, grass growing weather, not weather in which all that’s growing is snowmen 🙁

The supply’s in the alpaca barn are starting to run real low, especially on the straw front. The question is do we take in a new delivery or hope that this weather passes quickly and therefore we’d ...

Paddocks full of wet alpacas, a half painted lolly pop fence, Why? That blasted rain and horrendous wind is back, please tell me this is just a blip and not that summer has been and gone. Last summer is still to fresh in my memory for me not to feel slightly concerned, ok Ill be honest I’m more than slightly concerned, I want the sun to come back please!
