Where’s spring gone? I’ve just checked the forecast here for today and we have snow shower’s due later, are they having a laugh? Spring is supposed to be nice warm sunshine, grass growing weather, not weather in which all that’s growing is snowmen 🙁

A bit of a late one today as we’ve had visitors from Scotland and I completely forgot about the blog. It has been a busy end to this week as we had visitors Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It’s a bit like waiting for a bus, you don’t see any for a little while and then three come all at once :

At Honeyfield we take biosecurity very very seriously and take every precaution to prevent disease entering our alpaca paddocks. Not only do we operate a closes herd policy, offer no stud services and refrain from entering Halter shows. All the paddocks are fully enclosed with Tornado Badger Fencing and to enter every visitor must pass through a fam 30 foot bath.

March 1st, never has a date been so anticipated, Spring please don’t let us down. We really need for it to warm up a bit now, as when the ground temperature reaches five degrees the grass will start growing.

Oh what a day! It began as usual with my morning cup of coffee and a quick browse through my emails, no problems there.  A peak out of the window to check what the weather had in store for us today, no nasty snowy surprises waiting for us there, in fact although it was cold at least the sun was making its presence known for a change.
