I’m at a bit of a loss, sitting here with my asus pad in front of me wondering just what to write the blog about today.
The girls have kindly been delivering their cria one at a time, perfectly spread out, giving me lots to write about.
But we’ve had no alpaca births for two days now, what’s going on?
I think I must have been taking them for granted and now it’s pay back time, they are going to make me wait for the rest, miserable baggage’s 🙁
In this heat it must be very hard going for them, especially those that are at end stage pregnancy.
If I’d known we were going to get temperatures as hot as this I wouldn’t have planned for them to be born now.
The trouble in the UK is that we can never ever second guess the weather, look at last summer it was a complete wash out and this summer, well could it get any hotter?
After last year I thought I was being clever by delaying my births until July hoping for better dryer days and look what happens I get it wrong, again duh! 🙂
Has anybody out there got a Crystal ball and can give me the heads up on the weather a year in advance please, otherwise knowing my luck I’ll be moaning that I got it wrong again next year too 🙂
What’s with this weather? we just seem to bounce from one extreme to another. Shouldn’t moan I know but it’s tough on us pale people, I knew I hated being blonde for a reason.
I tried to get a paddling pool yesterday, initially for the alpacas but decided I was going to sit in it first, just to test it out of course 🙂 But guess what they’re all sold out everywhere, Typical!
Them girls better move over I might have to fight them for the water troughs much more of this 🙂
After all my moaning, sorry by the way, I thought I’d leave with a couple of cria pic’s that I took this morning, they grow so quick.
