Alpaca Planter

Wow! in the blink of an eye Christmas has come and gone. Where does the time go?

It seems like it was only five minutes ago that all the alpacas had to be tucked up in the barn by 4pm as that’s when it got dark. Now it’s 4.45pm before darkness comes and it’s gradually getting later each day.

Yippee!!! Spring is on it’s way!ย  I know, I’m suffering from a bad case of wishful thinking ๐Ÿ˜‰

Looks like I have some planting to do come spring, as these two new additions to the household appeared over Christmas.

I was thinking plastic flowers as those I wouldn’t kill by forgetting to water them, but my happy little farm helper, aka my mother, has trashed that idea as she reckons it would look rubbish and the sun would fade them.

I had two replies ready;

Look more rubbish than dead un-watered flowers and what sun?

My Mother’s as usual was quick to respond with, Have you noticed the weather of late, and your worried about not watering them?

Enough said ๐Ÿ™‚

I think I need to revise my plans anyway.ย  Looking out the window just now, I think pond weed is definitely looking more apt at the moment. I’m sure that’s the only plant that is going to thrive in this weather.

Even my weeping willow tree that I planted in one of the alpaca paddocks, has I’m sure, well and truly drowned ๐Ÿ™

I think these two are going to be indoor garden gnomes for a little longer. I just wish I could catch the member of my household who is having fun moving them around and dressing them up in my winter hats every night.

Is it the kids or that daft husband of mine? ๐Ÿ™‚
