I really can’t believe it’s December all ready, where has the year gone? With the weather being so sunny and mild I’m finding it hard to get my head around Christmas being only a few weeks away.
In fact it’s so mild that if it wasn’t a priority to conserve the grass, the alpacas would still be out full time rather than spending the nights in the barn.
Ha! Ha! who am I trying to kid, watching all the alpacas queuing up at their respective gates every evening to get into said barn , it probably has nothing to do with grass preservation and more to do with having pampered girls who like their creature comforts 🙂
My first Christmas card arrived in the post a couple of days ago, nice card, but unfortunately who ever sent it forgot to write on the inside and so we have no idea who it’s from.
Mystery person if your reading, the card displayed a snow scene with a Christmas tree in the center, please let me know who you are!
Talking of Christmas trees, those of you who know me, or who followed my blog through last winter will know that my children refer to me as the Grinch at this time of year.
I will do anything in my power not to put up Christmas decorations etc… I will confess that this isn’t because I don’t like them but I just don’t like putting them up.
It takes forever unpacking the blasted baubles etc.. and no sooner than they are all up, I have to take forever to take them down and pack them all back up again. The kids are right I am a Grinch aren’t I 🙂
This year I think I deserve a medal, I have been so good, I’ve fought my Grinchly nature and brought home a Christmas tree, how cool is that?
Don’t get too excited it’s only twelve centimeters high, came complete with it’s own baubles and battery operated fairy lights, all I have to do is water it.
Yes you are probably right, I’ll forget and the tree will be dead before Christmas morning 🙂
But all that aside I think I’ve done rather well!
The kids are not so impressed but it could have been worse there was a smaller tree available, six centimeters, no baubles and no lights, so I say they should be well and truly gratefully with what they have, a micro tree! Ho! Ho! Ho! 🙂
Please don’t feel sorry for them the kids are 21, 22 & 25.
