Sunbathing Alpacas

Well there’s wind and there’s wind! and at the moment all though it’s been warm and dry the washing line is definitely out of action.

There’s not a hope in hell of my puny pegs holding my smalls on the line in this weather. Out of consideration for the village, who would undoubtedly be on the receiving end of my smalls blowing around on the wind I’ve been forced, honest Neil πŸ™‚ to bring the tumble dryer back into work.

Will he moan, probably not, If he did you know it would be his smalls that I’d put out on the line πŸ™‚

Anyways Neil is hiding in his shed again as another new purchase appeared there yesterday. I don’t believe it! he’s only gone and bought another pile of junk. How many not working motor bikes dose one man need?

Neils up to four and each of them, so say, have been bought as spares to complete the one before. Guess what? shortly I’ll be told that this one is to original too and he’ll be looking to buy another.

Men and piles of junk what’s it all about ? Perhaps he didn’t have a Meccano set when he was a child πŸ™‚

The Alpacas don’t seem bothered by the strong winds at all, in fact as it’s warmed up and they are heavy in fleece, It is keeping them cooled down. What has been scary is seeing them sprawled out on the grass sunbathing.

I know it’s only an inch long but it’s still grass at the end of the day and it’s growing Yippee!, just not at the accelerated rate the weeds seem to grow πŸ™

Sorry side tracked again, sprawled out and scary was where I was at and the reason for this is that it’s been so long since I’ve seen them act this way, due to having no summer, that seeing flat out alpacas has sent me into a slight panic.

The poor girls are enjoying a snooze and I come charging over to make sure they’re ok, end of snooze and one unhappy wide awake alpaca πŸ™‚

A picture from last summer as illustration. I running far to fast to remember to take my camera with me at the moment πŸ™‚

What am I like! mind all this running back and forward is helping to burn of all this bread I’ve been eating. The new bread making machine has arrived and we now have super dooper sized loaves.

The only problem is they don’t seem to last any longer than the smaller sized loaves from the old machine πŸ™‚ Best I keep running!
