Today the weather has been absolutely amazing and on our little alpaca farm here in Wiltshire, we have been making the most of every last minute of it.
I took a few minutes this afternoon to wander round with my camera taking snaps of all the activity happening around the place.
Before any of you comment, yes it was a good excuse for a skive, I was hot, but I’m not complaining sunshine honest! 🙂
What is it they say “a picture is worth a thousand words”, so today for a change I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
In the front paddocks, the horses fields. Scarlett my niece having a ride on Henry. My sister and mum are side walking to safe guard Scarlett as she is epileptic .
My daughter Lauren is leading Henry and thought Scarlett would enjoy a bit of a trot. She did as you can see from the picture below. Sorry it’s a close up but I had to block out the side walkers as they were a bit red faced from all that running to keep up and bad Lauren was killing her self with laughter 🙂
My dad was busy strimming around the pond whilst all this hilarity was going on in the front paddocks, that made me move as it’s where my gooseberry bushes are planted and they are only just recovering from Neil mowing them down with the lawn mower.
Neil and Charlie were over at new to be stud pen where they were sorting out the post and strainers for the badger fencing. Hopefully Monday the fencing will start being laid. All the preparatory work seems to take forever, I will be so glad when it’s all done and I haven’t got open trenches and heaps of earth every where.
Some of the fence posts that have been hammered into place alongside the existing badger proofed enclosure .
Teddy and Wilson amusing themselves whilst the rest of the herd just chilled.
See lots of pictures, not skiving at all, it’s very strenuous you know pressing the button 🙂
