Alpaca Rivalry

If you can’t get any magnum ice creams at Tesco’s in Swindon it’s probably because they are all sold out and in my freezer!

I got in there quick before they all disappeared like the paddling pools did.

Very selfish I know but I had too! I have to confess these are my latest addiction πŸ™‚

What am I like? Last year it was ice cream snickers bars.

Why I was eating ice cream last year, for the life of me I can’t remember, it certainly wasn’t anything to do with the glorious summer we were having πŸ™‚

This year is perfect magnum eating weather and so I’m going to stuff myself silly while I can.

My ever expanding waist line will not only keep me warm through the winter but will also give me something to moan about. Do you like my bit of self justification?

Trouble is, I’m obviously not eating them fast enough as chocolate bits keep falling off all over my keyboard while I’m trying to type here and I’m making an awful mess πŸ™‚

It’s alright I’m just in one of those moods today, far to much sitting in the sun watching all my still very pregnant alpacas.

Two days have gone by without a birth, they are keeping me waiting again, bless em.

It’s not been all about the females this weekend the young male alpacas have certainly made there presence felt and not for the best of reasons.

Angelo now he has started work has got a bit above himself and has started showing of to Marcus.

Marcus, quite understandably as he is also of age, wasn’t putting up with it.

Boys being boys, their play fighting turned into something a little more serious and so I knew the time had come to separate the pair.

It was bound to happen sooner or later but separating male alpacas is always tinged with a little sadness as the two half brothers have been together since their birth.

Angelo & Marcus as cria, weren’t they sweet?

Angelo as he is now working was brought down into a stud pen between the big boys Imp and High Com.

After a lot of postulating by both Imp and High Com at the sudden arrival of a new stud.

Angelo was found sniveling in the middle of his pen, not a very happy bunny! poor lad.

I could be strong and say it served him right for fighting with Marcus, but then again I could be a total softy and split up the boys by putting one of them in a paddock with the yearlings and the other in a paddock with the three castrated boys.

Which one am I?

Total softy πŸ™‚

Angelo is in with Taffy, Hamilton and Woody and Marcus has the yearlings.

Angelo be warned you are on borrowed time, that stud pen still has your name on it πŸ™‚
