Firstly a big thank you to everyone that phoned & emailed, to congratulate us on winning our court case. It had been a long two years and we are very grateful for all the support you have given us.
We celebrated in style on Tuesday evening thanks to Joe & Sarah who appeared at our door with a large bottle of champagne in hand. Needless to say the bottle didn’t stay full for very long :0))
Yesterday we received the actual report from the judge, which was really interesting reading and I was really surprised at how thorough the report was, so it’s not a surprise that it took so long to compile.
I won’t bore you with the details only to say that there was a one liner in the middle of the report which I have to say brought a tear to my eye, “I found the respondents (us) to be transparently credible witnesses who did not embroider or exaggerate their evidence”.
Having never even attended a law court let alone been on the stand, it’s very frightening and you’re so nervous you don’t know how you come across. I really value the judge’s comment as honesty for us is very important in every aspect of our lives. Its heart warming to see that this does come across in our dealings with people even when we are at our most stressed.
The season of good cheer is upon us and it’s been a great week so far. Last evening I was invited to a get together at my old boss’s house. It was great to meet up with all the girls I used to work with, a few bottles of wine and some yummy pizza added to the fun. It seems a life time ago that I was part of that scene, how things change and how great is Christmas, that it can bring you all back together for such an enjoyable evening.
